5FIT (C2 : W6 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Week 6... something about Monday has caused a billion people to go to my gym. Not sure why it's so crowded. Got through it regardless. Good weight progress. I'm going to switch up the flys a bit on Thursday to hit my upper chest harder.
5FIT (C2 : W5 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
First week of the cut went down pretty well. Managed to keep my reps and weight pretty constant. I'm going to be doing all protein for the next 24 hrs, so I don't know how tomorrow will go. Unto the breach!
5FIT (C2 : W4 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
If there is a hell, it's a gym around new year's. Ugh. Managed to get everything in, but I'm not looking forward to the next month or so. I'm also doing a low carb cut for a couple of weeks, so I may be a little extra bitchy due to the lack of bread. Also expect to see a drop in reps and possibly weight on some things since I'll have less energy readily available.

I got a neoprene belt to wear during cardio. It purports to raise core temperature for fat burning blah blah blah... the majority of their claims are pretty much hokum, but I'm going to test whether it helps get rid of this belly fat that I can't seem to dump. My hypothesis is that my remaining belly fat stays cool during workouts and is thus harder to burn. It's supposedly true that higher temperature stored fat is easier for your body to metabolize, but you still have to do the work and be in a fat burning state, which is why most of the "it burns fat right away we swear" claims are crap. I doubt it'll help much, but hey... 5% is better than 0%.
Anywho, good workout to start the week. I went heavier on the press machine and plan to stay at 300 until I can hit 10/9/8 without dropping weight. Everything else went well.

First week of the second cycle started well. I'm going to start getting up a little earlier and probably add a bit more cardio into my routine to speed up this last bit of fat loss. Not much of note today.
5FIT (C1 : W10 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Back in Tennessee this week and had a pretty standard first day. It's the final week of my first cycle and I'm feeling great. Belly fat is almost completely gone and my diet is on point. Gotta keep it up and finish strong.
5FIT (C1 : W9 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Out of town this week but I have access to a good gym, so I should be able to keep a pretty normal schedule. Good workout today and got in some good cardio as well.
5FIT (C1 : W8 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
I went to the gym a little later than normal today... definitely a lot less crowded. I got through everything in good time and went back to the bench machine for the heavier weight. Good progress.
5FIT (C1 : W7 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Week 7, off to a good start. Gym was crowded, but got a good workout in. I decided to use the shoulder press machine for single arm presses and to drop the front and lateral raises back down to one set apiece. Back tomorrow!
5FIT (C1 : W6 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Finally past the halfway point... so far, so good. I'll probably try and go a bit higher on extensions next week. Other than that, standard stuff, and good work put in. Back tomorrow!
5FIT (C1 : W5 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Halfway through this cycle and things are going well. My calf development is going great and everything else seems on point. Good day today though. Going to stay heavy on chest and hopefully go higher on dumbbells next week.
5FIT (C1 : W4 - Arms/Abs)
Added an extra exercise for both triceps and biceps... I like the layout and plan on sticking with it for a while. I'm going to go run either tomorrow or Sunday, other than that... rest.
5FIT (C1 : W4 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Week four started pretty well. I added a rep to the presses and went up in weight pretty much across the board. Did some good shoulder work and my triceps were a little sore to start. Good workout though. Looking forward to the rest of the week.
5FIT (C1 : W3 - Arms/Abs)
End of the third week. I added a rep to the curls and am thinking about limiting the dropsets to 3 and adding another exercise for both biceps and triceps, maybe a smaller isolation exercise. Good week though. Going for a run tomorrow, and week 4 begins Monday.
5FIT (C1 : W3 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
My chest is already sore from this morning, but I'm seeing the results of hitting each muscle group hard more often. I did declines heavier and first this time, also added reps to the front/side raises and weight to the extensions. Pull day tomorrow... probably some cardio as well.
5FIT (C1 : W2 - Arms/Abs)
Great second week. I moved all of the leg work to Wednesday and they've definitely taken more damage this week, so I think I'll keep it this way from now on. I'm going to keep heavy on the pinwheel curls and probably go up in weight on the close grip presses next week. Now for some rest.
5FIT (C1 : W2 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
Week two started off pretty well. My lower back pretty much feels like it's normal again, so it's time to start working back up to where I was, slowly of course. I stayed heavy on the major muscle groups and had a good workout overall. Day two of supporting groups tomorrow.
5FIT (C1 : W1 - Arms/Legs/Abs)
Final day of the first week. The last day feels like a bit of a hodgepodge, but that's alright. I might move the leg stuff to all mid week, but I'm still thinking that one over. Other than that, good stuff. Now to make some adjustments and go again next week!
5FIT (C1 : W1 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps)
It's the dawn of a new era! Alright, less dramatically, I'm starting a new custom split. I'm calling it 5FIT for reference, short for 5-day Fitness Interchangeable Training. No marketing aim... just have to call it something for a title, and hey, it gels with the FitOfficial tag. C# is the cycle number, this being the first cycle. W# is the current week number of this cycle.
The overall idea is to hit supporting muscle groups the first two days, legs the third, and antagonist muscle groups the next two. The goals are muscle confusion, growth, and fat loss. I'll add in two to three sets of cardio per week, but not enough to stymie any muscle growth. For reps/sets, I'll follow this general pattern:
Major Muscle Groups: 3 exercises/workout, 7 total sets, failure @ 8-10 reps/set
Minor Muscle Groups: 2 exercises/workout, 5 total sets, failure @ 8-12 reps/set
Abs and Calves: 1-2 exercises/workout, 4-6 total sets, <15 reps to failure
Major muscle groups are chest, back, legs, and shoulders (front/lateral and rear/traps grouped together). Minor muscle groups are biceps and triceps. Forearms will be done on day 5.
First day went well, but I'm already thinking of shifting the arm exercises I had planned for day 5 to days 1 and 2, sort of making day 5 the heavier arm exercises and days 1 and 2 the more supplementary lower weight exercises. I'll follow through with that next week and improve other spots as I go.
