Second day at the Y went a little better. I decided to do calves on the smith machine since they don't really have a good calf machine. They have a seated leg press that I may use next time. Otherwise, had no issues. Walked a bit on the treadmill as well since I didn't do cardio yesterday. Blast week next week!

I tacked on my ab set today since it's a little easier to do in the NC gym. Went heavier on the leg press and added a rep to the extensions. Good work otherwise. Already feeling it and ready for the last full body day on Friday.

First day at the Y was a little odd. It's always weird going to a new gym and this was definitely no different. I got it done though and am super sore from the combo of working out today and the hill sprints from yesterday. I'll get used to it eventually. Tomorrow, rest, and Wednesday back to my normal gym in NC.

Got a manual push-mower for the new house which I've dubbed the Crossfit mower. I'm taking it back. Unless you're the Mountain with the cardio of some sort of ultra-marathoner, no dice. It'd be fine for flat land, but on a hill... yeah, no. My feet are shot and I'm still pretty much dead.
Anyway, went up on squat weight this morning. I had to do things out of order a bit since all of the smith machines (now dubbed "everything-but-squat-machines") were taken for some serious conversations. Good workout though. I'll hit some cardio tomorrow and probably try and rest a bit Sunday.

Good workout this morning. I went up on extensions, presses, dips, and increased reps on shoulder presses and curls. Not much of note other than that. Pulled a muscle slightly in my neck, so that's going to suck for a couple of days. Be careful during those shoulder presses!

Well, I'm successfully moved into my new house. Also, I'm dead. I'm done with stairs, Uhauls, totes, and everything moving-related in general. Ugh.
Did well this morning, added a few reps and actually made it through everything with minimal issue even though I'm totally drained. I'll probably do a cardio set tomorrow and just proceed as normal.
Also, 250TH POST! Here's to 250 more, body willing.

I have to move later today and did wrist curls like a complete moron. Oh well. Went up with row weight and everything else was pretty standard. I'm going to aim for rep increases Monday. Now begins the weekend from hell!

The smith machines are a bit high off the ground so I remedy that by standing on some plates when doing deadlifts. I went up in weight over last week and definitely felt it by the last rep. Everything else went well. Nothing really of note other than a couple of extra reps on dips and shoulder presses. Maybe not harder, maybe not better, maybe not faster... definitely stronger.

Squeezed out an extra rep on pretty much every set and made good progress. It's been a crazy couple of weeks and I close on a house Friday. Got to get through the next six days and it's downhill from there.

Good workout this morning. I did a little steady state cardio on an incline for some extra calf work. Other than that, standard stuff. Looking forward to next week!

I'm moving in a week and this workout was definitely a good stress-reliever, even though it was deadlifts. Made good progress with the dips and curls and went up in weight on both leg extensions and curls. I'll likely go and do some cardio tomorrow, then hit Friday as normal.

Added an ab set to the end of today's workout instead of the normal reverse crunches. I also skipped the wrist curls since my forearms are still shot from the farmer's walks. Also did 55s for the first time on curls, so yay me! It's amazing how the 50s now feel like the 30s used to.
I'm going to have access to a sledge/tire soon, so that pain is incoming. It should definitely help with my forearms and shoulders.

It amazes me just how exhausting the first week of total body gets every time. I always think it'll be better and it's still just killer. I added in a Farmer's Walk at the end and plan on working up to a minute, possibly two sets as well for a little cardio and grip strength at the end every Friday.

For some reason my left glute caught fire during the second set of deadlifts. I'll probably be feeling that one tomorrow. Had a good workout otherwise, not much of note. Looking forward to heading back to TN.

Starting off a new growth cycle this morning. Not much of note since I kept it pretty basic. My chest is almost back to normal and my arms are still pretty sore from yesterday. Progress!

I'm apparently trying my best to get a sinus infection. Probably shouldn't have worked out, but meh. Gotta get it done. Last day of total body for a bit. Next week is the blast workouts. Hopefully this crud goes away by then. Damned trees everywhere.

Last day of deadlifts for a bit. Can't say I'm sad to see them go. I'm planning on doing some dumbbell work for chest and shoulders on Friday since I've been skipping them in favor of machines, and I'll probably do something overhead for triceps. One more day, then chaos.

Well, I forgot calves. Damn. I'll do them Wednesday with the other leg work. I prefer the body part split because there's a good chance I'm going to forget a body part while doing the longer workouts. Oh well, good stuff otherwise. I'm ready for the craziness next week.

Week 4 is in the books. Not much of note today. Good progress across the board and I'm getting better at the kickbacks. Next week is the last week of total body, then I'm going to do an arm and leg blast for a week, then switch back to a body part split to round out the third growth cycle.

Ended up doing deadlifts at the Johnson City gym. The fat bars on each smith machine are killers for heavy deadlifts. Had to drop weight halfway through the second set since my fingers were ready to fall off. I added in a couple of sets of chest flys for good measure and stuck with the kickbacks in anticipation of arm hell. Good workout. Now for some rest.
